Server URL
Clients that support a custom remote MCP server can connect to https://app.prolepsia.com/api/v1/mcp/. The client discovers Prolepsia's OAuth configuration automatically. You log in to your existing Prolepsia account and approve the permissions shown on screen. You do not paste an API key into the AI client.
Permissions
forecasts:readreads forecasts, results, and schedules.forecasts:writestarts or cancels forecasts that use credits and manages schedules.questions:readidentifies readable question data.questions:writestructures forecast questions with AI.connections:readlists the MCP servers your forecasts can call.connections:writeadds, changes, tests and deletes those servers. Ask for it only when you want the client to manage connections.
Prolepsia enforces the connected user's organization, role, suspension, quota, and object-level access on every tool call. Read operations are annotated separately from state-changing and destructive operations so supporting clients can request confirmation appropriately.
Forecast timing
Creating a forecast returns its ID in about a second. The connector calls this ID task_id. The forecast then runs in the background and usually takes 35–60 minutes. A client can check the forecast in a later chat or session. A short wait ending does not stop or duplicate the forecast.
Developer clients
Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Windsurf, and other developer tools may also use a user-managed pre_… API key. Users who are logged in can find exact configuration snippets under Settings → API and AI clients → MCP server. OAuth and API-key clients reach the same tools and permission checks.
