# Chat with a forecast

> Ask follow-up questions about a forecast, and turn new facts into context.

## Steps

1. Open a question with a finished forecast and choose Chat with forecast.
2. Type your question, or use the microphone button to speak it.
3. Press Enter to send. The forecaster answers from the research behind this forecast.
4. When the chat suggests new context, choose Add context only to save it for the next forecast, or Rerun now to start a forecast with it.
5. To ask about one passage, select it in the report and choose Explain this.

## Good to know

- Chat replies cost no credits. A rerun does.

## What the video says

To ask about a forecast, choose Chat with forecast. The chat opens beside the forecast, so you can read both. Type your question, or use the microphone button to speak it. Chat replies cost no credits. Press Enter to send. The forecaster answers from the research behind this forecast, and can point out what the forecast does not know yet. When your question brings up something the forecast did not know, the chat suggests it as context. Add it for the next forecast, or rerun now with it. You can also select any passage in the report and choose Explain this, to ask about exactly that text.
